About The Hamble
The River Hamble is known as the heart of British yachting, thanks to its location, and tradition of sailing.
Many sailing events and regattas still place on The Hamble including Hamble Week and Bursledon Regatta, attracting national and international participation.
The River Hamble enters the Solent at Southampton Water, having flowed for several miles form inland. It’s navigable and sheltered lower reaches make it very popular for boating and sailing.
As you would expect, there are many marinas and boatyards on the Hamble, as well as picturesque villages like Bursledon, and surrounding area of natural beauty.
